To connect to a network with a hidden SSID, you'll need to know the following information about your network:
- Network name (SSID)
- Security type
- Password
If you don't know this information, check with your network administrator.
Nucleus supports the following security types:
- None
- WEP
- WPA
- WPA2
- WPA/WPA2
You can join a hidden network while setting up a Nucleus device, or after Nucleus has been set up on another network (Tap Settings, then Network Settings to see the list of available networks).
Joining a hidden network
- Scroll to the bottom of the list of available wireless networks. Tap Other Network once it's located.
- Enter the name of your network (the SSID). This needs to be exact (capitalization and punctuation count), so make sure what you're entering matches how the network is configured. Tap Next to proceed.
- Choose the Security Type. If your network doesn't have a password, choose None, otherwise choose the type of security your network is configured for.
- Enter the password for your network (if applicable), then tap Done.
